The lid has a very slightly wavy edge from years of use and cleaning. It fits beautifully. There are some minor dents, there are hammer marks and signs of manufacture on the body - a truly authentic piece.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe handles are good and firm. There are manufacturing hammer marks on the body. This is a special, good looking copper 'Faitout' - this is a term coined in the early 1800s for a domestic pot that 'does it all' in a domestic setting.
