French Antique Copper 1.5mm 15cm Saucepan Boiling Egg Pan Wrought Iron Handle Heritage Piece Copper Normandy Kitchen For Gas Hob

This pan is beautiful and old. It has been lovingly maintained and polished for many years. This was made in northern France by a Chaudronnerie or single Coppersmith, it has no manufacturing marks.

It has been raised from one piece of copper, the handle has been exquisitely made, it has beautiful rivets, thick and firmly fixed.

It has an exceptional patina that cannot be faked or replicated, it is something that occurs over time and use. This is an old pan made beautifully. It sits flat and balances when empty - there is a rounded base - suitable for a gas stove or use with a trivet. There are signs of age, use and wear, there is a minor side edge dent.

If you want one statement piece in your kitchen you could do a lot worse than this. It looks great and has a long illustrious story to tell.

It has been expertly restored by us, it has It has retained the spectacular patina and signs of use and wear that make this ancient example of cooking copper, very special indeed.

This has been used in a French kitchen and has been passed down to family members over many, many years.

It weighs 511 grams 1lbs 2 ozs and is 15cm across around 6 inches, it is 6cm high or 2 3/8 inches and is total length 31cm or 12 1/4 inches.

This is an old solid pan that was designed and made for the professional kitchen in the late 1800s, little did they know that it would be still looking great and working well in the 21st century.
