Copper Mould Trottier of Paris Fantaisie Gelée Aspic Entremet Mold Mould All Copper Fully Marked Trottier Depose Made Many Dents and Depressions

This is not a large mould, it is 4 1/4 inches across and 5 inches high.

There are two splits in the rim and a brand new tin lining.

Trottier Brioche mold or mould. Trottier started in 1817 and was the leading maker of molds/moulds in the 19th century and the company was taken over in 1899 by G Mora.

These molds are very rare, they seldom come onto the market. It is an intricate tall mold, it has a well in the middle so it could be used for cake as well as entrement, gelée or mousse - savoury or sweet.

There are some serious condition issues. All of the upper most parts are dented or flattened and there are small dents in the straight parts or fingers. It is not in the round and egg shaped. There is a slightly flattened edge. There are splits in the rim. However, there are no holes or missing parts.

It is 11 cm across or 4 1/4 inches across and is 12.5cm high or 5 1/2 inches it weighs 212 grams or 7.5 ozs.
