The tin is new, showing the tell tale signs of hand wiped tin, a little flow and some slight pooling in the corners, it is all there, 100% pure tin and ready to go.

The body handles are fixed securely with three copper rivets - sophisticated without being fussy, really superb craftsmanship a cut above the copper pots of it's time.

The lid has a reassuring weight, it has a very slightly wavy edge from years of use and cleaning, the lid handle is also superbly made. The lid fits beautifully, snug but removable.

There are some very minor dents, some copper losses, signs of use on the outside body - scratches from years of use - a truly authentic piece.

This lovely old pot has been refurbished sympathetically to ensure that it remains authentic but totally ready for work.

It weighs 4.12 kilos 9lbs 1.4 ozs. It is 1.3mm solid copper with a new tin lining.
