An antique Havard of Villedieu copper saucepan with lid, restored and newly hand-tinned by Normandy Kitchen Copper. Made in Villedieu-les-Poêles, Normandy’s historic copper-making town, this substantial piece brings French kitchen heritage back into everyday use.
The pan has 2.2mm copper, a newly applied tin lining and a polished exterior. We found the pan and lid together and have kept them together.
It measures 20cm across and 11cm deep, approximately 8 inches across and 4¼ inches deep. The combined weight of the pan and lid is 2.12kg, approximately 4lb 11oz.
This is an antique piece with visible signs of its working life. The lid has a slightly wavy edge and small dents, and there are surface scratches and signs of use. These remain part of its character following refurbishment.
We have cleaned, polished and re-tinned the saucepan, preparing it for another chapter in the kitchen while preserving its history.
Your pan will be carefully double-boxed and sent with tracked, insured shipping.
