This is an antique French Copper 'splash lid' that is 23.7 cm or 9 1/4 inches across and from handle to far edge is 39 cm or 15 3/8 inches. New hand wiped tin.

This will cover most French pans of 23cm, 22cm to around 20cm. I use a splash lid all the time for spitting meats or chicken and it is great to place over a pan of potatoes to ensure they cook quickly. It is balanced and totally fit for purpose.

This is an antique lid that was made in the early 20th century and it is a good today as it was when it was made, with a slightly wavy edge.

It will cover a 23 cm pan or smaller (22cm or 20cm). It is fabulous for a frying pan to catch spits.

The handle is securely fixed with copper rivets and the patina looks stunning when light hits it.

It is an antique piece which shows wear and has surface scratches, a wavy edge and many small indentations. It weighs 748 grams 1lb 10.4ozs, a good solid lid.

There are surface scratches and small indentations and a new tin-lined underside, there is some very minor waviness on the edge.

It is a larger size and suitable for a regular bigger cooker or range as well as being suitable for a professional kitchen.
