These are two Tournus small casseroles or cocottes have had a hard life working in a restaurant making Rillets. This is a charcuterie recipe that takes shredded roasted meat or any fish and makes it into a coarse paté or potted meat or fish. They are usually immersed in a bain marie and cooked in the oven. These casseroles can be used for any small dish.

The interiors have new hand wiped tin, the outsides have a new shine - the badges of honour on these pans are evident - there are copper losses on the lids and on the bases - possibly by lemon juice or vinegar.

They weigh 1.47 kilos 3lbs 4 ozs.
