FABULOUS VINTAGE COPPER FISH KETTLE

It is Copper throughout with a good solid aluminium insert. It is magnificently made with all you would expect from a fabulous French copper piece.

Super vintage copper fish kettle with lid, brass handles and insert.

This insert enables the Chef to remove the cooked fish without damaging the fish itself. It is an ingenious thing that enables you to either poach or shallow steam a whole fish; a salmon, bass or any large fish you wish to cook. This is big enough to do any shellfish or seafood.

You can remove it as a whole and use the liquor for your sauce.

This has been totally refurbished with a new hand wiped tin lining.

It has minor surface scratches both on the body on the base. There is a minor edge dent on the base. There are patches of scarring on the lid - we think lemon juice damage.

It is a thing of beauty and really useful It is a necessity for a professional or well-equipped kitchen. This can be used to cook anything that needs steaming, poaching or boiling not necessarily fish but also ham or vegetables. This is a versatile item that is lovely to look at.

The cast bronze handles look beautiful against the rich copper patina. The rivets are good and solid.
